Our goal at Tembo Kijani is to avoid waste, but when this isn't possible, we attempt to reuse it. When shopping in the market, we use baskets instead of plastic bags, water is filtered to refrain from buying water in plastic canisters. Composting kitchen waste is a part of it as well.
Waste water is reused to water the bush and to keep the environment green between the rain seasons.
But as with every aspect of being green, the attitude of our staff and guests to avoid waste, is crucial.
